Honeywell has announced that Diamond Green Diesel will expand its annual production capacity of renewable diesel using Honeywell UOP’s Ecofining™ process technology to meet growing demand for renewable fuels in North America and Europe. With the planned $1.1 billion expansion, the Norco, La.-based facility will become one of the world’s largest renewable diesel plants.

Dolphin Energy Limited began gas production in July 2007. This unique strategic energy initiative involves production and processing of natural gas from Qatar’s offshore North Field, and transportation of the processed gas by subsea pipeline to the United Arab Emirates and Oman. The overall investment in wells, sealines, processing plant, export pipeline and receiving facilities has made this one of the largest energy-related ventures ever undertaken in the Middle East.
 
30/09/2019 - WELTEC Plant Processes Leftovers into Green Energy
Recently, biogas plant builder WELTEC BIOPOWER completed a biomethane plant for ALTHO, a French manufacturer of potato chips in St. Gérand, Brittany. The plant was planned and set up by the German manufacturer in collaboration with its French partner WELTEC France. Some 200 standard m³/h of biomethane are generated from production waste and sludge from the company's own wastewater treatment plant. This corresponds to the gas consumption of a town with a population of 5,000.
 
24/09/2019 - Efficient Upgrade of Upper Zakum Pumps Using Local Service Centre
The Upper Zakum oilfield is located north-west of Abu Dhabi islands and is the second largest offshore oilfield in the world. As one of the Upper Zakum joint venture partners, Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) is 60% owner. The field is operated by ZADCO (now ADNOC Offshore), the dedicated offshore arm of the ADNOC Group. When ZADCO looked to improve reliability and increase pumping capacity of the units on an unmanned, remote station in the Upper Zakum field, it turned to the local support and expertise provided by SPX® FLOW’s Abu Dhabi Service Centre.

23/09/2019 - FORD DAGENHAM AUTOMATES OPERATIONS WITH SEVEN UNIVERSAL ROBOTS
Ford Dagenham has invested in seven UR10 Universal Robots from RARUK Automation to automate the previously manual task of applying fasteners to engine blocks. The fasteners are now applied automatically to engines that arrive on the production line every 30 seconds, across a 24-hour, three-shift operation.
