Siemens at the Wasser Berlin International

Nuremberg, Germany. The Siemens Industry Automation Division will be present at the Wasser Berlin International trade fair with its booth 211 in Hall 6.2, showcasing its comprehensive automation expertise in all things water and waste water related. Visitors to the fair from April 23 to 26 will be able to gain an insight into systems for time-saving plant engineering, the control of pumping stations, solutions for optimized energy efficiency in plant operation and the disinfection of drinking water.
The Siemens portfolio for the water industry is aimed both at system integrators and planners, municipal water utility companies and industry. The products and solutions featured at the fair cover every aspect of automation in the water industry, from water treatment and distribution to transportation. One of the highlights to be featured at the Siemens booth will be Integrated Engineering with Comos and Simatic PCS 7- plant engineering and automation based on a single electronic workflow. Visitors will also be offered an overview of the process instrumentation portfolio, including highlights such as the battery-operated water meter F M MAG 8000 with GSM/GPRS(Global System for Mobile Communication/General Packet Radio Service) with a communication module for data transmission over the cell phone network and the ultrasonic controller Sitrans LUT400 for continuous level or volume measurement.
The Siemens portfolio at the fair will also be focusing on energy-efficient solutions such as efficiency category IE3 drives used in applications including pumping stations. Also on show will be solutions for reducing energy consumption using smart industrial controls. Systems and devices for the disinfection of water will also be featured: A Barrier M UV(ultraviolet) system and a SFC(Single Function Controller) device for the measurement and control of individual parameters.
